Free Engaging Overwhelm WorkshopÂ
Live On Zoom | November 18, 2026 | 6–8 PM CSTÂ
What happens when the weight of responsibility becomes too much to carry?
Most of us know what it feels like to have too much on our plate. But overwhelm isn't always just a sign that life is busy. Sometimes it’s revealing something deeper about what we believe we have to carry, who we believe we have to be, and what we think will happen if we finally put something down.
So how do we know when we've actually exceeded our capacity? Why do some of us keep taking on more even when our bodies are telling us we can't? And what do resentment, shutdown, exhaustion, or the quiet thought “must be nice…”reveal about what’s happening underneath the surface?
In Engaging Overwhelm, we’ll explore:
- What actually happens in your body when you become overwhelmed, and why it can leave you feeling numb, apathetic, disconnected, or unable to move forward.
- The important difference between anxiety and overwhelm, and why they may require different kinds of engagement.
- What overwhelm can reveal about your relationship with responsibility, capacity, control, and surrender.
- The hidden beliefs that may be keeping you stuck in cycles of overfunctioning, resentment, shutdown, and guilt.
- Why sacrifice and serving others aren't always as selfless as they appear, and how to recognize when something deeper is driving how much you carry.
- How your relationships with God, yourself, and others shape the way you experience and respond to overwhelm.
- What it can look like to engage overwhelm in a way that leads you back toward connection rather than simply trying harder to keep up.
Ultimately, we’ll wrestle with a question many of us rarely stop long enough to ask:
You are holding a lot. Who is holding you?
Join us for a biblical, trauma-informed conversation about what overwhelm is trying to tell us and what it might look like to respond differently.
